How can I design my course to meet the needs of clients at different levels of experience?

Start by getting clear on who you most want to serve. Put a stake in the ground and decide which level of experience you’re designing your course for. I always recommend focusing on the largest segment of your audience or the group that feels like the low-hanging fruit.

Once you’ve chosen your core audience, you can support others through strategic bonuses and resources. For example, if your course is aimed at intermediate students, you could offer a “Start From Scratch” bonus for beginners who need help getting up to speed. On the flip side, if you have some advanced strategies that go beyond the core course, those can be offered as a bonus or optional module for more experienced students.

The key is to make your main course content focused and clear for one experience level. Then, use bonuses, a resource library, or weekly support emails to bridge any gaps. In your video lessons, you can guide your students by saying things like, “If you need more help with this step, check out the bonus training below.”

You don’t have to create a course that tries to serve everyone equally. Serve one group well, and support the others with thoughtful extras. That’s how you create a streamlined, high-value experience without overwhelming your students or yourself.
