How do I shift markets to start selling to someone who is not already on my email list?

If you’re looking to shift markets, you do not need to overhaul your entire business. Instead, begin by creating content that speaks directly to the new Ideal Customer Avatar you want to serve. Your weekly content is where this shift starts. It’s how you attract the right audience so that when you’re ready to sell your course, you’re already speaking to people who are a great fit.

Think about a blog post, podcast episode, or video that focuses on something your new ICA wants or needs. Get specific. That content will help them find you and begin to see you as a trusted guide.

I know it can feel scary to shift your messaging or narrow your niche, especially if your audience has been more general in the past. But the truth is, when you try to speak to everyone, you end up connecting with no one. If you want people to buy your course, you need to speak clearly and specifically to the person who needs it most.

Remember what I always say: the riches are in the niches. When your content resonates deeply, your audience listens, engages, and ultimately buys.
