What is the best way to introduce my course? Should I provide the full roadmap up front, or if I’m dripping content, reveal each step as I go?

If a clear framework or roadmap will help your students feel more grounded and confident about the journey ahead, then I absolutely recommend showing it early on. Giving your students a big-picture view of what’s coming allows them to understand how each lesson fits into the overall transformation and helps them stay motivated along the way.

Even if you’re dripping content and not releasing everything at once, you can still walk them through the full structure. This doesn’t mean teaching every detail up front. It simply means showing them the path so they understand what they’re working toward and how they’ll get there.

Inside Digital Course Academy, I do this often. I introduce visual frameworks throughout the course and I explain how each section builds on the next. That clarity is key for helping students stay focused and feel less overwhelmed.

So if a roadmap would help your ICA, absolutely share it early on. Then drip out the teaching and details in a way that supports steady, focused progress. Your job is to get them to the finish line, and a clear structure from day one can help make that happen.
