How can I improve my course to ensure that more students are completing it and getting good results?

One of the best ways to make your course more effective is to do a fresh round of course validation, but with a twist. This time, you’ll validate with your current and past students. Focus especially on those who did not finish the course, but also reach out to the ones who did complete it to understand what helped them succeed.

Send out a short survey or schedule a few “course calls” using the same strategy I teach in Module 2, Lesson 1 of Your Ready to Launch Digital Course Track. The difference here is that you’ll tweak the questions to focus on their actual experience going through your course.

Ask questions like:

  • Did you complete the course? If not, where did you stop and why?
  • What felt overwhelming or confusing?
  • What helped you keep going or made it easier to implement?
  • What do you wish had been included that wasn’t?
  • What part of the course was most valuable to you?

This insight will help you spot the sticking points and identify what’s working. You’ll begin to see patterns and areas where you can add support, simplify the content, or restructure your delivery to help more students reach the finish line and see real results.

You can use a tool like SurveyMonkey for easy feedback collection or invite students to hop on a quick call. Both methods will help you improve your course with clarity and confidence.
