How long should each module be (i.e., How many topics should be included and how long should each video be?)
Your goal is to get your student to the finish line as fast as humanly possible. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer to this question, but as a general rule, I recommend creating 4 to 7 modules. Think of your modules as the main overarching steps your student needs to take to experience the transformation you're promising.
From there, break each step into individual lessons. The videos should be as long as you need to teach the content, but I prefer keeping them short and focused (around 7 to 10 minutes). I do have videos that are shorter than five minutes and others that are longer than ten. Go with what makes the most sense for your ICA and the material you're covering.
Including a PDF support document can help your students understand and apply the content more easily. It gives them a visual reference to follow along with, reinforces what you’ve taught, and highlights the key takeaways and action items.
Just keep your ultimate goal front and center: get your student to the finish line without overwhelming them. Ask yourself, how can I support them in the most efficient and effective way?
