When I launch, where do I send the people who signed up on my course waitlist page?

If someone has signed up for your course waitlist, your first move should be to invite them to your webinar, just like you would any other subscriber on your email list. A waitlist opt-in means they’re interested, but they haven’t fully committed yet. They likely still have questions, hesitations, or need clarity around what your course includes and the transformation it offers. That’s exactly what your webinar is designed to do.

Even though these people raised their hand to say “I’m interested,” they haven’t taken action yet, and a Live webinar gives you the best shot at converting. You’re far more likely to make the sale on a webinar than by sending them directly to a sales page.

  1. Special Email Option for Waitlisters

You might consider sending a customized email to acknowledge they were on your waitlist and make them feel like VIPs.

Something like: “Hey there, I know you were on the waitlist for [Course Name], and I wanted you to be the first to know that enrollment is opening soon! I’ve created a brand-new free masterclass where I’ll be teaching [insert transformation] and sharing all the details about the course. I’d love for you to join. Here’s the link to sign up.”

This personal touch helps warm up the lead and guide them into the experience you’ve designed for potential students.

  1. What if they don’t register for the webinar?

If someone on your waitlist never signs up for the webinar, that’s okay. They can still be nurtured during your open cart period through your Sales Booster emails. I walk you through that exact strategy in Module 7, Lesson 5 of Your Ready to Launch Digital Course Track.

  1. Can I send the sales page directly?

Yes, on cart open day, you can send a direct link to the sales page in a separate email for your waitlist audience.

Here’s how I would write it: “Hi, there! You asked to be the first to know when enrollment opens for [Course Name], and today’s the day! If you haven’t signed up for my masterclass yet, you can still do that here [link]. But if you’re ready and want to jump in, here’s the link to enroll now [link]. I hope to see you inside!”

That way, you’re offering both paths: the clarity and conversion power of the webinar, and the direct sales option for those who are already ready to buy.
