What do you recommend for a course launch that has not received a successful response?

If your launch didn’t perform the way you wanted, don’t panic. It happens to so many course creators, and it’s an opportunity to refine and improve. One of the most helpful things you can do is get direct feedback through what I call “Course Calls.”

Start by reaching out to people who are already on your email list and who have either taken your course or shown interest. Set up short, casual validation calls with them to understand their experience, why they did or didn’t buy, and where they might have felt overwhelmed or disconnected. The “Course Calls” Strategy Cheat Sheet in Module 2, Lesson 1 of Your Ready to Launch Digital Course Track is a great place to start. It includes suggested questions to ask, but you should absolutely customize those questions based on your situation.

For example, if you suspect your audience felt overwhelmed, ask:

  • Where did you get stuck?
  • What felt confusing or too complicated?
  • Was there something missing that would’ve helped you make progress?

Your goal is to really listen, without judgment, and pinpoint where you might have missed the mark, whether in your marketing, your messaging, your promise, or the structure and delivery of the course itself.

If you don’t have students yet or your list is small, do this process with members of your Ideal Customer Avatar community instead. These insights are invaluable, and they will help you refine your course and relaunch with much more clarity and confidence.
