When is the best time to give students access to the course if you're not dripping the content?

If you're giving all your course content at once instead of dripping it out week by week, then I recommend giving students access to the course immediately after they purchase, even while your cart is still open.

Giving access right away helps eliminate buyer’s remorse. When someone invests in your course and can log in, look around, and start taking action, they feel reassured that they made the right decision. But if they’re just sitting around waiting for the course to open, that’s when doubt starts to creep in. Without anything tangible in front of them, it’s easy for limiting beliefs to take over, and that’s what you want to avoid.

Now, if you don’t want to give access right away, that’s okay too. Just be clear about it. In the confirmation email that goes out after they enroll, let them know the exact date and time they’ll get access to the course. Set the expectation clearly so they know what to expect and why.

If you’re offering a private Facebook group for your students, open that group on cart open day. Personally, I like to wait just a few hours before letting people in so there are already a couple hundred students inside. That way, the community feels lively and engaging right from the start, while also helping to avoid buyer’s remorse by giving students immediate access.
