What do you do if someone asks for the link to your course but doesn’t want to go through the webinar?
You can definitely offer a direct link to your sales page, but I recommend doing it on a case-by-case basis. I’ve done this when someone personally reached out and had a valid reason for skipping the webinar, like a time constraint or an upcoming deadline. In those situations, I’ll send them a private link that’s not available publicly.
However, I always make it clear that the best experience and the most value comes from attending the webinar. That’s where I walk through what’s included in the course, the transformation they can expect, and how it all fits together. I also usually tie my bonuses to webinar attendance because I know students who attend are more likely to understand the course fully and stay committed once they join.
If you’re considering doing this, I suggest testing it. Track how many people who request the direct link actually go on to buy. If you notice that most of them don’t convert, you might decide to stick with a policy that requires people to attend the webinar first.
Another important thing to consider is refund rates. In my experience, students who attend a webinar are far less likely to ask for a refund because they go in with clear expectations. They’ve already had the chance to learn from me, connect with the content, and decide if it’s a good fit.
So while giving out a direct link can work in certain situations, I’m a big believer in the power of the webinar. It not only helps with conversions, it sets your students up for a more successful and confident start.
